July 2021 #BuildOnOpera Contest Results
When we created our BOO contest, our goal was to help spread awareness of the Fantom Opera network strengths to investors and developers alike. We’re incredibly proud of the SpookySwap community for doing exactly this through over thirty videos, infographics, guides and Twitter threads submitted during the contest. We’re glad we get to reward the creativity and knowledge of our members as we promote and encourage Fantom Foundation growth! Thank you to everyone who participated and helped share the reasons we #BuildOnOpera.
Runner-Ups
First, let’s introduce our four runner-ups who will receive $250 of BOO, with an additional $250 matched by the Fantom Foundation, and a SpookySwapArt runner-up NFT ribbon:
The SpookySwap team felt this video had good graphics and animations. It’s a short and sweet video covering SpookySwap and our functionality! The tweet also shared concise information about SpookySwap in a well formatted list.
We appreciated the high quality images used in the video, and how accessible the information is for beginners. The colors and imagery used match Fantom Opera well, and create a very professional introduction to what Fantom Opera and SpookySwap provide.
This was a very close runner-up due to the quality of the video, and including information you should know as an investor. We like that it includes Fantom’s real world implementations. It can introduce people who don’t know Fantom‘s ecosystem to top dApps like Reaper, Curve, Sushi, and Tomb.finance.
Cryptohamm’s use of short video snippets to show how to use the bridge creates a very easy to digest guide (which is even better than our docs!). We’re excited to see Fantom.Digital grow as a platform used to fulfill the intent of our contest!
#BuildOnOpera Contest Grand Finalist
And now for the winner of $1000 in BOO, with an additional $1000 matched by the Fantom Foundation, and our SpookySwapArt exclusive NFT trophy: It’s “What’s so special about the Fantom blockchain?” by Dat Boi!
We felt these infographics Dat Boi created put into perspective the potential of Fantom compared to competing EVM compatible blockchains. The information included is objective reliable information from a cited source. It even includes information (0.0000005%??) that our SpookySwap developers were not aware of.
These infographics include other DeFi systems in the Fantom ecosystem outside of SpookySwap, and we appreciate that it covers all of Fantom, including the bridges.
Without any intros or outros, the potential of Fantom in real world applications is made clear and concise with a cited link to more information if desired. Overall, there are a lot more details and research included in these infographics than several of our video submissions.
Thank you again for the more than 30 submissions showcasing the strengths of SpookySwap and Fantom Opera. We’re amazed at the content the Fantom community is able to make to support growth and outreach and we hope to see informative content like these submissions continue to be used to share with other investors in the crypto space. We hope everyone sees the value of sharing useful videos, guides, infographics, or promoting Fantom as a whole in unique ways and that our community continues to work hard towards building on Opera! Our next Medium developer update will be late July which will have more information about upcoming contests and SpookySwap features.
