#SpookyArt Scairdrop Contest

Spooky Swap
3 min readApr 30, 2021

We’re really excited seeing how the community we’ve built loves our SpookySwap art, and it’s amazing to see the countless pieces of fanart we’ve received of Grim and our other SpookySwap characters. We wanted to give back to the community in a way that rewards the creativity we’ve seen from so many BOO holders. We’re proud to announce our first #SpookyArt Scairdrop contest with a total of 100 BOO in prizes!

Rules:

  • Contest dates are from 00:00 UTC May 1st to 23:59 UTC May 7th.
  • To submit their original art, entrants must tweet at the official SpookySwap Twitter account with their submission attached and include the #SpookyArt hashtag.
  • No NSFW art will be eligible.
  • Animated art, videos, or meme template art are not eligible for this contest. For our animators and memers, stay tuned for future SpookyArt contests!
  • The grand prize winner must provide a .psd, .ai or .svg of the submission in order for it to be featured on the SpookySwap website. The grand prize winner may need to work directly with our lead artist to incorporate the art appropriately.
  • Winners must provide a MetaMask wallet address, privately to our development team, to receive a BOO prize.
  • Multiple submissions per Twitter account are acceptable.
  • Judges for the contest will be the SpookySwap development team. We will be judging based on detail, technique, and SpookySwap theme.

Tips:
We encourage submissions to be similar to our official SpookySwap art style! You can either create an original character, or draw one of our existing characters in a new way. If you have a particular webpage in mind that you think your art would be best suited for if you win the #SpookyArt grand prize, we recommend including that in your submission. Ultimately, the art can be anything that would work well on our website be it a background, character, or spooky object.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

  • How do I enter? Attach your submission in a tweet that includes @SpookySwap and #SpookyArt. That’s it! You can also add text if you would like to.
  • What if my art style doesn’t match SpookySwap? We still encourage you to enter. In the event you are the grand prize winner, your art will likely need to be traced or edited to match our website’s theme and style. Our lead artist will work with you to ensure that your art is incorporated in a way that makes you and the team happy.
  • How are you judging submissions? We’ll be awarding points based on detail, technique, and theme.

Stay Spooky!
