#SpookyArt Scairdrop Contest Results and Surprise Announcement
First off, a big congratulations to everyone who entered our first #SpookyArt contest! One week is a short amount of time to create an original piece of art, and we’re happy to say more than 60 entrants were submitted. We’re very grateful to have such a talented community, and based on feedback we will absolutely continue to announce more contests that reward our creative members.
The team evaluated each piece based on theme, technique, and attention to details. We verified that the finalists all submitted original pieces of art, and we also will prohibit Twitter accounts that submitted stolen or unoriginal art from competing in future competitions.
Onto our 5 runner-up finalists, who will each receive 10 BOO!
The Finalists
Haisenberg1994: We liked how different this is than everything we’ve seen since it’s Grim in space. It’s not spooky, but very charming! It still fits the identity of grim herself. The artist did a great job showing motion, and we appreciate that the broom is floating next to grim (that she’s so magical she doesn’t even need a broom to fly). BOO to the moon! It makes us feel hopeful.
Vaudkuhhhhh: The rendering of this piece is very well detailed! As a whole, we love the inclusion of the portal, as if she’s battling or summoning Ace. The reflective lighting from the portals is very well done. We appreciate the details on the spellbook and the choice of perspective.
DecimalLove: This is a great storybook, children’s story kind of style that is very appealing to look at. We like the storytelling in this piece, character design of the cat, and teeny tiny ghost face ghosts. This references our swap art very well, and captures a lot of the essence of SpookySwap. Including kitten ace in the back is a great touch.

And now, onto our grand finalist and winner of 50 BOO:
Ayumi0_0324: Congratulations! This is a really cool rendition of Grim in a children’s book or fairy tale style. We like that the source of light is all coming from the wand that Grim is holding, it makes it feel very cozy. We really liked that the artist created their own original character that fits the SpookySwap theme.
This piece captivated and drew us into their world. The attention to detail with sparkles being included in the wand, eyes, and star accessories is a great touch.

Working with ZooCoin.Cash, we’re announcing that we’ve begun to mint official SpookySwap NFTs! We will be releasing additional NFTs in the future and have currently minted over 100,000 Official NFTs for release! Please look forward to more opportunities to receive official NFTs soon. Each runner up will receive:
Our SpookySwap ribbon! This piece will be used for all planned runner-up NFTs in the future, but will only be released through entering SpookySwap contests. We plan to use this NFT exclusively for awarding talented community members, so expect to see plenty of opportunities to show your talents soon! Additionally, we have a unique NFT trophy with only a single copy minted being given to our grand finalist!
This trophy NFT will be used solely for our SpookyArt contests, which makes it exceedingly rare. We really appreciate all the amazing fanart we’ve received, and wanted to reward our grand finalist with our own custom art made especially for the SpookyArt contest!
