The SpookySwap team is proud to introduce our newest and most rational change coming to the number 1 DEX on Fantom: Dogs.
We held an internal interview with our lead developer, EerieEight, to give answers and alpha on the major upcoming shift in direction for BOO.
Patchwork: Thank you for meeting with the team today, EerieEight. We know how busy it can be with the recent growth on Fantom and constant development for SpookySwap.
EerieEight: Why are you being so formal on Discord? Anyway, what’s up.
The recent shift to remove the magical cat Grim as the mascot for SpookySwap feels a little sudden. Can you tell us more about the thought process behind the change in marketing and branding coming to SpookySwap?
It’s simple really: Crypto is a dog’s world. It’s a dog eat dog world of dog coins and we’re jumping in ready to compete. Being the biggest cat coin is like being a big fish in a small pond and on the eve of our 1-year anniversary we feel it’s time for the big leagues.
That makes sense to me.
Exactly. We can combine both the crypto community built around decentralized finance and the crypto community centered around cute dog memes by becoming a meme dog themed DEX.
Doesn’t that already exist with Shib —
I have no idea what you’re talking about and don’t forget who you work for.
Right, of course. Onto the next question then. What about Magicats? Can the Magicats NFT community expect to receive continued support from SpookySwap?
Great question! The answer is yes, but also that our NFT collection shall now be referred to as Magidogs. They’ll still look like cats, act like cats and have the same exact art and magical tendencies but trust me, they’re dogs now. Dogs using powerful dog magic to appear like cats. There’s a lot of lore being built to explain it all that will be released soon.
Are you talking about your Magicats Fan Fiction?
It’s not Magicats Fan Fiction, it’s Magidogs World Building and just because it’s the length of ten Harry Potter books doesn’t make it any less important.
Sure, whatever you say. Onto our last question for this interview then. Why did you choose to launch such a drastic change on April Fool’s Day?
It’s simple really — to give our true fans and dedicated community a chance to buy in early. You know how many investors are going to look at this interview, the new dog mascot, the Magidogs fan fiction and say “This can’t be real. It’s April Fool’s Day. There’s no way SpookySwap would suddenly turn itself into a billion dollar market cap DEX by making such an ingenious rebranding on a day well known for pranks and on top of that… when would EerieEight ever have the time for a 1,380,066 word fan fiction?”. Well guess what? Out there dedicated BOO holders see this for what it really is: A free one-way ticket on a ride to the moon. Buckle up.
